Hello, fellow Oddballer!
Breaking News: I’m switching things up!
Instead of sending out five oddities each week, I’ll be sharing my Oddballs comics with you - three gloriously odd pages per week! I’ll also be adding some updates, news, commentary, and whatnot.
As a Paid Subscriber (THANK YOU!), you will still receive the monthly zine in your mailbox if you opt into that and you’ll still get early access to my “Behind the Zines” video.
But… why?
I’m doing this for three reasons:
Posting my comics is more in line with what I’m doing with Oddballs. It’s EXACTLY what I’m doing with Oddballs, so that makes sense.
Finding and writing about the five oddities is a LOT of work and I need to manage my time more efficiently, especially now that I have a new job.
While you can see these Oddballs comics online (I’ll link each as I present them), it may be easier for you to simply get them in your email.
Another change
I’ll also be lowering the paid subscription to $5/mo. or $50/yr. Supply and demand stuff.
Note: This is not the price of a subscription. I’m thinking that may be $3/mo. ($30/yr), still figuring that out. Why is the SubStack $2 more? That’s to offset the cost of printing and distributing Oddballs to places like coffee shops, schools, and such. In essence, it’s supporting to help me get exposure for Oddballs. (My Tía generously gave me that idea!)
To reiterate:
You can subscribe for free and get the comics in your email, and
You can also get a subscription to the printed monthly Oddballs zine for $3/mo. ($30/year), AND
You can ALSO choose to support me here on SubStack with a paid subscription for $5/mo. ($50/yr.) which gets you the printed monthly Oddballs zine PLUS you’d be helping me get the word out.
Whichever you choose, I am grateful!
Anything else?
Yes! If you know me, you know that I am always working towards a side hustle with public speaking. You're also aware that I have the heart of a teacher. When I combine those those two things, I find that a good course of action for me is to become a Youth Motivational Speaker.
While moving toward that side hustle (I’m still keeping my day job), I’ll give updates on what I’m learning and doing. Hopefully, that will be inspiring and encouraging for you as YOU pursue your dreams.
Thank you!
As always, thank you for reading. I hope I can give you some levity in this heavy world. Let’s laugh together!
Stay beautifully odd!
