ONE
This may sound weird, but trust me, it works. Go to the bathroom, close the door, look yourself in the eye, and say, “I love you.” Then do it again, but state your name. “I love you, [your name]!” You may be embarrassed at first, but who is watching you other than yourself? You need to hear, “I love you” at least once a day. If you’re the only one that tells you, at least that’s one person.
TWO
Remember, you live in a universe that is within your own mind and heart. Yes, you’re part of something bigger, but do not sell yourself short. You are significant. You matter. You can make a difference in the universe by making a difference in your universe. Goodness ripples outward.
THREE
In the early stages of development, the Swiffer was simply a broomstick with a bottle of Mr. Clean and a Maxi pad. Some ideas are good, some are bad, but most are so unrefined that it’s difficult to distinguish one way or another. It takes some discernment, research, experimentation, and feedback to determine if your idea is worth pursuing. Don’t toss it out before giving it a shot, but don’t waste time on a vanity project in the hopes of it being the next big thing (I’m guilty of that).
FOUR
Feeling stuck in your job? Try a side hustle! Carve out a few hours a week to work on something new, exciting, and/or interesting. Where can you find a few hours? Turn off the TV and they’ll find you. Don’t know where to start? Here are some ideas:
