Hello, fellow Oddballer!
How good is your robot dance? Is it good enough to fool the robots when they eventually overtake us? If not, start practicing!
As always, links are in bold and underlined. Have fun with those. So, without further ado, here are five oddballs for your eyeballs!
Nobody Sausage
At a time when social media is synonymous with drama, it’s good to see some oddballs out there doing funny stuff. You have to check out Nobody Sausage on Instagram. It’s short videos featuring sausage-like creatures doing stuff we all think about. I like the one that asks, “Why does every mom wake up like this?” (pictured below).
Groundhog Melinneums?
Oddballs, such as myself, wonder about odd things. For instance, have you ever wondered how much time Phil spent in the time loop in the movie “Groundhog Day”? I bet you have. And we’re not the only ones. There are several theories; from a few weeks to thousands of years. This article explains the reasoning behind each theory.
Is This a Robot Doing the Robot Dance?
I’ll be honest when I saw the thumbnail for this video about robots becoming lifelike, I thought someone made a Greta Thunberg android. And, at first watch, it kinda looks like that - nothing against Ms. Thunberg. All that aside, whoever this dancer is, she’s got me wondering if she’s a Terminator. Yikes!
Real Life Josie Grossie?
A 28-year-old woman posed as a 17-year-old girl in order to attend a high school in Louisiana. Basically, the woman’s mother used fake documents from Honduras to get her daughter into high school for the purpose of learning English. Both were arrested, yet, other than the fakery, there was no malevolence - from what anyone can tell. Still, it gives me pause. I was a fan of the TV show “21 Jump Street” and the movie “Never Been Kissed,” but, when you think about it, the whole premises for both are creepy.
Oddballs: “Monsters with Glasses”
Since my zine “Oddballs” is, in itself, a bit of an oddity, I thought I’d share something from this month’s issue. Click here for more fun stuff.
Thank you for reading. Please share this post with friends on social media.
