The Most Mysterious Song Ever, Invisible Cows, and a Dose of Yesteryear
5 oddities to ponder and share
Hello, fellow Oddballer!
How goes it? I’m starting this one out with the thing that has captured my attention as well as the attention of music lovers all over the planet. It’s a song that doesn’t exist… yet you can listen to it. Sounds weird, eh? Pun!
As always, links are in bold and underlined. Have fun with those. So, without further ado, here are five oddballs for your eyeballs!
The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet
Do you know who recorded the song “Like the Wind?” Of course, you don’t. No one does! This song has mystified listeners for roughly 40 years. So many people have tried to find out where it came from but no one has any definite answers. You can listen to the song by clicking here.
Find the Invisible Cow
Some websites are just plain weird. This one has you find an invisible cow. You heard me right, all it is is moving your cursor until you find the cow then clicking. It’s an odd concept for a website, yet it’s pretty popular. Give it a try by clicking here or on the cow.
Horse (Official Music Video)
I have no idea how I came across this music video by artist Salvadore Ganacci, but it has garnered 52 million views! Once you watch it, you’ll wonder why anyone would create such a thing and, at the same time, want to see it again. It’s totally weird and totally funny. 100% ODD! Click here or the image below to watch it on YouTube.
Remind Magazine
Remind Magazine touts itself as “The Home of Nostalgia.” And for good reason! It’s a magazine all about our pop culture spanning back to the 1950s. Here is why I think this is odd:
How does a whole magazine exist based on old nostalgia? Wouldn’t you just look at old stuff online?
How many subscribers do they need for this to work? Are there that many?
On that note, I really want to subscribe because I’m nostalgic and it looks like fun!
Oddballs: “Tough Disney Questions”
Since my zine “Oddballs” is a bit of an oddity, I thought I’d share something from this month’s issue. Click here or on the image below for more fun stuff on my website!
Thank you for reading. Please share this post with friends on social media.
The best way to support my work is to become a premium subscriber. By doing so, you’ll get my handmade stream-of-conscious zine “Oddballs” sent to you directly via snail mail. It’s fun, odd, and could be yours every month!
But that's not all! You'll also get early access to my "Behind the Zines" videos where you can watch me draw and hear my open thoughts.
Until next time, stay oddly beautiful!
